Frequently Asked Questions

Registering? Child Care Subsidy? Our Frequently Asked Questions

Can our family come in and view the facilities?

All prospective families are welcome to stop by for a visit.

When can I register my child/children?

Our centre’s registration process is ongoing throughout the year, but you will need to contact us to confirm availability. Registration for preschool classes begins in March for all new children wanting to attend the following September preschool year.

What is required for my child to start at the centre?

All forms must be filled out and returned before your child/children are accepted into the centre. The administration fee must also be submitted. A contract for all Group Daycare and School Aged Care Families is required to be read and signed by parents during the first month of acceptance. The contract outlines the costs associated with all fees to be paid by the parents.

Does your centre accept the Government Subsidy?

Yes, we do accept the government subsidy for families requiring daycare, school-aged child care and preschool. You will need to get all paperwork from the Ministry office, and we will complete our part of the forms. It will then be up to you to make sure that the government offices receive all pertinent information so that we can begin receiving monthly subsidy amounts. In the event that we do not receive the full amount, you will be required to pay any difference.

Does your centre offer income tax receipts?

The centre provides income tax receipts to our families each year at the end of January.

When is the centre closed?

..We are open for all Professional Development days and school closure days that Ecole Irvine School is not in session. There are additional costs involved with such days.  We are closed weekends, Statutory holidays and Winter Break .

Does the centre provide any food items throughout the day?

Not at this time. All food must be supplied from home. We are a nut-free centre.
